Snorkel Trails

We're delighted to have created a new snorkel trail exploring East Lothian’s varied coastline. The East Lothian Snorkel Trail is the latest addition to a growing network of trails around Scotland which has been developed in partnership with the Scottish Wildlife Trust as part of their Living Seas programme. The Living Seas programme is supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Marine Data Trail

This trail is all about discovering wildlife, exploring marine habitats, and finding out more about the data you can collect to protect them. At each point on the map you'll find out about a new species or habitat, and discover a citizen science project that you can get involved with.

Bass Rock Research - Heat Stress

We feel lucky to be working with some incredible research partners to discover more about the Bass Rock colony of Northern Gannets.

Big Belly Rubbish Bins

As you enjoy your walks along our glorious beaches keep an eye out for the big belly bins which all feature seabirds drawn by local artists. These huge, covered bins should ensure we keep our beaches and water free from flying rubbish.
