  1. Before making a purchase, please carefully review your individual selection, and which attractions you have purchased for. Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, or returned.
  2. Once you have printed your tickets, please keep them in a safe place *as we cannot accept duplicates, copies or other alternative tickets of any kind*.
  3. All major credit and debit cards are accepted (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro).
  4. All online purchases can only be shipped to the registered card holders address.
  5. All prices are correct at the time of publishing. However, they are subject to change without prior notice.
  6. Parties of 15 or more persons constitute a group. Additional products and special rates may be available for group booking tickets in advance by telephoning.
  7. Guest are reminded that for technical, or operational reasons, some facilities may be removed or closed or entertainment cancelled and/or altered at any time. Scottish Seabird Centre reserves the right to change the programme of attractions and entertainment if at any time it is deemed necessary or appropriate to do so.
  8. All guests entering Scottish Seabird Centre must have a valid entrance ticket.
  9. Scottish Seabird Centre reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to refuse entry or admission or to remove from Scottish Seabird Centre any visitor.
  10. The booking reference is confirmation of acceptance of the booking.
  11. Photography is allowed for non-commercial private use.

Giftshop Terms and Conditions

Eco-friendly packaging We only use boxes or packaging made from FSC® cardboard and all our packaging is fully recyclable. Some products in the box are pre-packaged in plastic but we are working to phase this out and are continuing to explore alternatives. We have been able to remove single-use plastic packaging from many products already, and are working to remove it from all products sold in our shop.

Delivery information The price for delivering items purchased from our online shop is £3:95 for all locations within the UK. The delivery cost may vary if the destination is outwith the UK. Please note, there is no charge for the delivery of Seabird Centre membership or gift vouchers. If you purchase Discovery Experience tickets in advance you will be emailed confirmation (nothing will be sent to you in the post). If you'd like to have items sent to separate addresses, please complete a separate order for each address. A separate delivery charge will be made for each address. Orders for the UK should arrive within 7 working days from placing the order. If you require your order sooner than this, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this. Please email giftshop@seabird.org. Additional charges may apply Overseas delivery may take longer. We can't guarantee delivery within our usual timescales to a small number of remote rural areas. Please note that we reserve the right not to deliver an order if we believe the address is not secure, for example to a communal postal address or PO box. If this affects an order you place, we'll notify you as soon as possible. On rare occasions, some items may be delivered outside the published timed windows. We send all our orders by Royal Mail, unfortunately we cannot be responsible for any delays in delivery once your order has been despatched.

About these terms These terms and conditions of sale are applicable to all orders and sale transactions for all items available through the Scottish Seabird Centre online shop. By placing an order for products, you agree to be bound by and accept these terms and conditions. These sales terms do not affect your statutory rights which cannot be waived or limited by contract.

About us The site is the sole property of and is operated by the Scottish Seabird Centre, a company limited by guarantee (Company Number SC172288) incorporated under the Companies Acts (and being a Scottish Charity registered number SC025837) and having their registered office at The Scottish Seabird Centre, The Harbour, North Berwick, East Lothian, EH39 4SS (“we” or “us”). We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions without prior notice

Prices and payment All prices are in £ sterling and include UK VAT at 20% where applicable. Delivery charges are not included in the prices quoted. Payment details and your order will be subject to review by our staff. We reserve the right to cancel any order if problems or issues arise at this stage of an order. Customers will be notified in any such case. If you are shopping from outside the UK your card provider will convert the value of your purchase into your local currency.

Methods of payment We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. If you prefer, you can also place an order by phone by calling +44(0)1620 890202 during our opening times.

Purchasing All items offered on our website are subject to availability, we will contact you in the unfortunate event of any item being out of stock. On completing your order you will receive an email to confirm receipt and details of your order. This represents an offer to us to purchase product which is then accepted by us.

All overseas orders may subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for custom clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Custom policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local Customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from the Scottish Seabird Centre online shop you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods and may be subject to opening and inspection by Customs authorities.

Security The Scottish Seabird Centre takes online security and customer confidence very seriously. All card payments are made using Opayo, an independent payment facility which allows credit / debit card transactions to be processed without passing your card details on to us. We do not retain, store or have access to customer credit information.

Returns policy The Scottish Seabird Centre operates a "no quibbles" return policy. We guarantee to exchange or refund any item that does not meet with your complete satisfaction. All we ask is that the item is returned to us within 28 days, unused and in its original packaging with all original documentation. Simply return the unused item(s) in the condition that you received it in along with details of your name, address, contact telephone number, order number and details of what the problem with the item(s) is and what you would like us to do and we will sort it out for you. Please note that this policy covers only items not used or damaged. We reserve the right to refuse refund or exchange on any item due to hygiene reasons. Good should be returned in secure packaging at your own expense, we recommend keeping proof of postage.

Faulty goods If there is a problem with an item sent or it is faulty, please contact us on +44(0)1620 890202 or email giftshop@seabird.org and we will discuss the possible return or replacement of the item.

Cancellation You have the right to cancel your entire order within 14 days after you receive it. It is your responsibility to inform us in writing, by email or letter, within this timescale of your intention to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return all the items in the order, they must reach us by the fourteenth day. The goods should be returned unused in their original condition and in the original packaging, unopened and with any tags intact. The goods must be returned in secure packaging at your own expense and we recommend that you use a tracked delivery service and retain the proof of posting. Once we have examined the returned items and found that the terms of cancellation have been adhered to we will refund the full cost of the goods and the original postage charge paid by you on purchase.

Data protection When you purchase merchandise via our online shop, we only collect information that is necessary in order to process your order. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name, your address. We only retain such information to process any transactions you undertake with us and for internal administration and analysis. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
