Oceans Under Pressure

Connected Issues, Connected Solutions

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Sian Henley to the Centre for the first in a series of talks on the climate crisis and the impact on the ocean.

Dr Henley is a Reader in Marine Science at the University of Edinburgh. She has a diverse range of research interests from climate and environmental change in the polar oceans to climate change impacts on children worldwide.

For today’s talk Dr Henley will be discussing the health of the seas around Scotland, the pressures they are facing and their connections with other ocean regions around the world. She will bring a message of hope for what we can achieve if we all do our bit to protect marine environments and ultimately how we can safeguard our incredible oceans now and into the future.

  • This talk will be held in the Discovery Experience Theatre and will be followed by a short Q&A.

Tickets are free but space is limited please book to join us.

This event is delivered in partnership with Sustaining North Berwick and is supported by North Berwick Trust.
