Energy Debate

Pupils can develop an appreciation of the importance of climate change as a contributing factor to the decline in marine species, and possible actions and alternatives they can take. In teams the students will construct their own wind turbines to generate renewable electricity and decide how to maximise the output of their designs. Then discussing and debating the advantages and disadvantages of a range of energy sources will enable the students to build upon their research, presentation and teamwork skills and learn the importance of being critical. And can the class agree on the best option for a more sustainable Scotland? Students will learn about energy and the importance of responsible citizenship in caring for our natural world whilst enhancing their knowledge of non-renewable and renewable energy sources.

We will happily adapt and modify workshops to suit your requirements.
