Marine Minibeasts

Marine Minibeasts

Children will examine and compare a variety of shells and other items found from the sea and consider the variety of invertebrates you can find in our coastal marine habitats. They’ll learn about a selection of common species, from crabs and prawns to starfish and anemones and see the living animals themselves by exploring the rockpools. They will discover what they eat and where they live. Finally, the children will head back to our Education centre, The Hub, for some Marine Minibeast crafts where they will choose their favourite sea creature from the day and make a model to take home.

We will happily adapt and modify workshops to suit your requirements.

Please refer to our Education Workshop Guide which lists Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes for the 'Marine Minibeasts' workshop.
