Spooky stories and creepy crafts for Halloween Weekend!

Join us this Halloween for a fun-filled weekend of drop-in events and trails, from spooky crafts and exciting experiments to family-friendly seal talks and storytelling.

All events are free for Seabird Centre members and included with visitor tickets to our Discovery Experience. Please book tickets for our Live Science Show, but all iother events over the weekend are drop in.

  • All events are held in our Discovery Experience with the exception of Trick or Trash beach clean which is being held at Fisherrow harbour, Musselburgh.

Trick or Trash - Beach Clean
Help make our wonderful coastline a cleaner, healthier (and less ghastly!) place whilst enjoying it with like-minded people. This special beach clean will be held at Fisherrow Harbour, Musselburgh.

Live Science Show
Just in time for Halloween, Egghead is taking a look at some scary marine species... Can you dodge the suckers, spikes and shocks? Find out more about these spooky marine species in this fun, family-friendly science show. This show runs at 2pm on Friday 31 October in the Seabird Centre Theatre. Free for Seabird Centre members, and included with visitor Discovery Experience tickets.

Halloween Trail
This halloween-themed marine creature trail in our Discovery Experience will run for the whole weekend, from Friday 31 October to Sunday 2 November.

Deep Chill Experiment
This seal blubber experiment will take place in the Discovery Experience on Friday 31 October and Sunday 2 November. Drop-in throughout the day.

Seal Talks
These family-friendly seal talks will take place at the live cameras in the Discovery Experience at 12:30pm on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November.
