Our spacious café is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy some locally sourced food and drink and soak up the amazing coastal views towards the iconic Bass Rock. Well behaved dogs are welcome throughout the Centre.

Save money, stay hydrated and prevent plastic pollution
100,000,000 plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute. We will refill your reusable water bottles in our cafe and if you bring your keep cup you can enjoy a 50p discount on all our hot drinks.

Sit-in or Takeaway

There’s no cost to access our café and members can enjoy a generous discount.

Food is served all day but we ask for final orders for hot food are 45 minutes before closing.

There are vegetarian and vegan options and some items can be made gluten free on request (see below for details). If you have an allergy please discuss this with our staff.

A children’s menu is available, bottle-warming and baby-changing facilities: we also have a breastfeeding-friendly award.

Takeaway Menu
We have a wide range of food and drinks available to takeaway. We encourage our customers to use reusable coffee cups and as an added incentive, offer 50p off your takeaway coffee and tea. Don't worry if you forget your cup, we have a wide range available in the giftshop and all our takeaway containers are made of renewable, lower carbon or recycled materials which can be composted with food waste.

Seabird deck

The Scottish Seabird Centre's seaside sun deck is the only one in North Berwick!

Relax and enjoy the stunning views out to the Firth of Forth, North Berwick's boating pond on East Beach and the Bass Rock - the world's largest colony of Northern gannets.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome and water bowls can be provided.

We’re looking for people to work in our busy café, which has stunning views over the Firth of Forth to the Bass Rock. If you can provide a warm welcome, are enthusiastic and hardworking, we’d love to hear from you. Full and part-time hours available over weekdays weekends.

Gluten Free Options
We have lots of gluten free options available in our café. Our Cullen skink, soup, nachos, baked potatoes, salads, sandwiches and toasties, sides (apart from potato wedges) and dips can all be made gluten free on request. We also have a great selection of gluten free cakes. Please ask our friendly cafe team when you order.
