At the Scottish Seabird Centre, we care passionately about where our food comes from and are proud to be able to showcase some of the best East Lothian and Scottish food producers.
We work closely with these handpicked producers, ensuring that we can offer the finest local and seasonal produce. For example:
Our meat comes from Andersons Butchers on North Berwick High Street.
Our haddock and mackerel is from Dickson’s of Port Seton, while Belhaven Smokehouse in Dunbar supply our salmon and trout. Stewart Pearson in North Berwick is our lobster supplier.
Fresh salad and vegetables are provided by Anderson Fruit and Veg of Tranent. Our potatoes are from Luffness Mains; cabbages, mushrooms and sprouts from Drem; carrots, onions and mixed salad from Motherwell (location varies by seasonal supply).
Our fresh rolls come from Fords the Bakers, in Edinburgh, and Stoats of Edinburgh provide our porridge bars. Musselburgh’s S Luca supply our ice cream, and our other dairy products are supplied by Yester Farm Dairies. Our eggs are free range from Broxburn Browns Farm in Edinburgh.
We purchase our alcoholic beverages from Stewart Brewing in Edinburgh as well as Belhaven Brewery and Thistle Cross Cider, both from Dunbar.
We offer takeaways and all our eco-friendly packaging comes from Vegware in Edinburgh.
All remaining products come from suppliers throughout Scotland including Glasgow, Fife and Perthshire.
