World Leader Wildlife Viewing Puffin

The Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick is the world leader in remote wildlife viewing and a triumph for sustainable tourism in Scotland. Visitors to the Centre experience a close encounter with wildlife using live interactive cameras to observe the rich variety of wildlife in the Firth of Forth, without disturbing the animals in any way. From the Seabird Centre’s 10 live wildlife webcams, visitors around the world also enjoy the spectacle.

With state-of-the-art live interactive cameras, the Seabird Centre brings people of all ages and abilities close to nature and focuses on the amazing wildlife in the area - 400,000 seabirds, including over 140,000 gannets on the Bass Rock, described by Sir David Attenborough as “one of the wildlife wonders of the world”. The Isle of May with 100,000 puffins and the largest grey seal colony on the east coast of Britain. Sightings of whales, dolphins and porpoises are also on the increase in the area.

A community based independent charity, the Centre is committed to increasing the awareness, appreciation and care of our natural environment, while contributing over £2million annually to the local economy.
