Isle of May photographic trips – NEW FOR 2012!!

Imagine puffins parading outside burrows or whirring overhead; cliffs and stacks alive with guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars and shags; on the ground nesting eiders incubating their clutch – experience it all on an Isle of May photography trip.

An internationally renowned seabird island, the largest east coast puffin colony in Britain, the Isle of May is a National Nature Reserve, owned and managed by Scottish Natural Heritage.

The Isle of May is home to the oldest Scottish bird observatory and for over 30 years the island has been an important seabird research station.

The island is a photographer’s dream and in 2012 we are launching special trips to the island specifically for amateur and professional photographers alike. The group will be led by an expert guide at all times to ensure the wildlife is undisturbed.

Travel to the island via one of our high speed RIBs and en-route circumnavigate the world-famous Bass Rock where over 150,000 gannets provide an awesome spectacle.
