The tour is a wonderful introduction to the Centre as the guides confidently demonstrate the technology used for learning (live cameras and interactives) and give fascinating facts about local wildlife.
Benefits for your pupils:
This fun and innovative approach motivates successful learning for all participants. The guides work as responsible citizens and effective contributors as they take charge and direct the learning for the duration of the tour. The tour and overall education visit* are linked to the Curriculum for Excellence.
Teacher Feedback:
Our pupils were both entertained and informed and were so impressed that several wanted to become tour guides themselves!
The junior guides at the Seabird Centre added great value to our trip. The children were well informed and delivered the tour confidently. The children in my class enjoyed both their points of interest and the funny jokes!
